Description

The Doe Fund seeks to help homeless and formerly incarcerated individuals achieve self-sufficiency by providing affordable and supportive housing and by engaging its clients in innovative programs and business ventures. The president and board of The Doe Fund turned to TWG to guide the organization through a comprehensive board assessment and evaluation initiative. At the end of the process, which involved all members of the board, TWG recommended that The Doe Fund install a series of best-in-class governance strategies. The process helped to clarify the fiduciary, strategic, and generative roles of each member of the board. The resulting plan provided a pathway and process by which The Doe Fund would identify, recruit, and on-board appropriate board candidates who would commit to providing strategic and policy advice and be willing to leverage their contacts and connections to generate significant new resources for The Doe Fund’s mission.
